Cooking Suggestions
Thaw frozen half-shell scallops slowly in the refrigerator before preparation. For classic Asian-style garlic steamed scallops, top scallops with soaked vermicelli, minced garlic, chili and soy sauce, then steam until meat turns opaque. For western-style cuisine, take out scallop meat for pan-searing until golden-brown on surface, serve with risotto and asparagus. Scallops can also be grilled or baked directly in their shells.
